In biology, the term “wild type” refers to the typical (or the most common) form or appearance of a species existing in nature.

At Wildtype Images, my mission is to create beautiful photographs based on landscapes, architecture, art and nature as I encountered it in the wild. Capturing a scene with the perfect light or from a unique perspective yields images which are amazing in their own right. No image mashup, photoshopping or extreme colorizing effects are used in the process.  What you see is what I saw.

I also believe these images should be shared for FREE so anyone can enjoy them.  Choose images from the best of the best galleries to download (or have printed for you directly from the Google Photos website).  In addition, there are hundreds of additional free "stock" photo images available for you to download and use as you wish.

I love exploring and photographing the beauty of our planet. I hope that through these images you may enjoy exploring with me.
